I wouldn't mind more Casesar and co, but where do they go after the Apes/Caesar have won the war and humanity is crushed and sent down a road of technological regression?
Seems like a better story could probably be had leaping several hundred years into the future, showing what the Apes have made for themselves as Earth's new masters and sadly, how they've followed somewhat in man's shitty footsteps. Slavery, a caste system, superstitious fear etc.
Ha, but I found it had some/little entertainment value. eg General Thade was decent. But glad they decided to scrap and reboot with what we have now. A massive improvement.
