People get all hyped up whenever a TOR character comes out, they were putting Satele on Vader's level and Valkorion above DE Sidious until things cooled down. Ironically the more power creep Bioware pulls, the more we lower the original characters.

There hasn't been much power creeping as of the last few chapters though.
