This implies Tenebrous would be anything more than a footnote to Yoda, he wouldn't.

Why not? Tenebrous should only be slightly below Plagueis level [if not on par with him] at the start of the Plagueis novel.

Tenebrous is far below plagueis. People don't seem to realize that. Plagueis surpassed tenebrous, took Sidious as a student, continued to grow stronger, boosted his midichlorine count..

^ yeah it is true that Plagueis is probably an outlier due to his midichlorian boost. Nonetheless, it just doesn't make sense for Tenebrous to be below Vader if he's 30 generations beyond Bane.
