I'm not even really sure what a "sorcery battle" entails, but Palpatine is better than Kun in just about everything we've seen them both do, and I'm not sure that this is an exception.

Caedus, yeah. He basically learnt to ignore pain and fighting on after losing an arm/getting gutted by a lightsaber is incredible and far beyond anything Maul's demonstrated.

Either way, maybe. Vitiate's primary use of TK is defensive, and so far none of his TK feats are approaching Vader's. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt due to insane power in other fields, more than anything else.
