It is, since you're just beating relatively weak opponents repeatedly, not to mention Jango Fett murking a group of Jedi with a rock. It's why in these games Desann/Malak/Traya etc are the "boss", the final, most difficult hurdle. Hell, it even works referring to my Jango Fett example - in the same comic where he murdered the Jedi barehanded he barely stalemated Tor Viszla.

They were even, but Luke admits he couldn't take him.

Tbh I would rationalize that by saying Luke was testing him. It seems ridiculous to think that Desann > JA Luke > DE Luke who can duel Wankatine.
