Rogue One: Catalyst

Half way through this.

Interesting read, but nothing amazing so far IMO.

Most the first half is during TCW before it goes post ROTS.

.....Wha? The first half is during the Clone Wars...why? I thought Rogue One was a GCW story.

It's the prelude. Death Star construction started before the Clone Wars ended.

It was decent. I really enjoyed Krennic.

Yes he should make a good villain in Rogue One.

Worth reading or nah?

Worth reading just as a set up to R1. Will let you know if it gets better towards the end.

Kthx.

So, this is a prequel of a prequel of an original?

The prelude of the prequel of the original.

It sucked

Finished it. Nothing special. Definitely wouldn't call it essential reading prior to the film. Not that I've seen the film yet.

Is this book worth a read? Thinking about buying it, but if it's pointless to read or a terrible book, then I won't.

^ There's a point that read it before watching R1. After R1 I wouldn't bother though.

Luceno has disappointed me these last two novels. Catalyst and Tarkin were both horrible. Luceno's other Star Wars novels were much better

Tarkin was great, imo.

Yeah Tarkin was an interesting read.

Nah. The characters were boring, the plot stank, they made Tarkin a hillbilly and the ending was such BS.
