Turkey to suspend European human rights convention following failed coup

"The purpose of the state of emergency is to most effectively and swiftly take steps necessary to eliminate the threat to democracy in our country," Erdogan said, adding that EU has no right to criticize the decision.

Under the emergency measure, the Turkish president and his ministers are allowed to bypass the parliament in passing new laws. Rights and freedoms in the country may also be limited or suspended if the government decides to do so, the news agency explained.

Thoughts?

He wants to bring back the death penalty and with the far right party he'll get the 2/3 majority in the parliament. A lot of intellectuals already try to leave turkey but the government blocked their attempts. Some experts already predict a mass Exodus from turkey.

Turkey is about to become an Islamic State. Phuck NATO for supporting Erdogan. Radical Islam will never be eradicated if we keep supporting the enemy.

That's the thing. Human rights is what it's all about. It's the reason why people hate Islam. Countries under Islamic rule all violate human rights in the name of dogma (there is no Muslim majority country with an above 53% Human Rights Index rating), and Islamic terrorists want to spread these human rights violations abroad.

The Western world, being comprised of secular human rights supporting countries obviously can't allow this. Unfortunately, as we are seeing with Turkey, this human-rights violating ideology is spreading, and due to the oil wealth of Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, NATO refuses to condemn it.

And best of all, Muslims aren't doing shit to stop it. Even peaceful Muslims would condemn an attack on Saudi Arabia as non believers invading Holy Land. This means that in some capacity, they must view Wahhabism as legitimate, that Allah endorsed the human rights violations of Wahhabism, or else they would view Saudis as non believers as well and protest them during the Hajj where 2 million Muslims travel every year.

So if Muslims truly do believe their God endorses human rights violations, that means it's an ideology that must be stamped out. Christendom has been altered to condemn human rights violations so that it can co-host with secularism, to the point that it's fundamentalists, such as the WBC and Kim Davis, are practically disavowed by most other members, whereas Islam views human rights violating fundamentalism and the elimination of secularism as legitimate worship that should not only continue but increase.

The facts are on the table. If Islam can not co-exist with human rights and secularism like the other Abrahamic religions, then it must be destroyed. End of story.

Let's be real, did Turkey ever even follow it in the first place?
