I mean its like saying Phantom Menace besting the Original Star Wars at the box office is a joke (or TFA besting both those combined).
Box office goes up over time, plain and simple.
In this particular case Aquaman isnt even close to TDK or TDKR Domestic numbers. And The international market has massively increased in the last 10years.
Can't look at outliers, anyway. TDK pretty much sold more tickets than TA. Is close domestically to TA, even without the 3-D bump. Panther was an outlier, too.
But if you look at comic films in general, Aquabro is right where most are at, or above.
It might surpass Iron Man 3 international numbers, which is insane, and might pass Civil War WW.
