I kinda feel bad you're so critical (grown up) that you arent excited about comic book movies that you're willing to just watch them and enjoy.
It'd have to be a REALLY bad (MiB II bad) movie for me to not just enjoy the fact that the characters i grew up with are on the big screen.

That right there is the problem though: It isn't the Aquaman I grew up with. It's an alternate version of him that only partially resembles him.

I don't think there's anything wrong with asking for more accuracy, at least when these "creators" change things that didn't really need changing in the first place.

shrug

Spoken like a true grown up.

By which i mean i'm not going to spend time listing all the differences, comic to movie, in all the projects over the last 50 years just to make a point that you'll ignore.
Like i said, i feel bad.

The fact that you talk about listing differences at all really jams home that you weren't really reading my posts.

Fair enough, though.

this will be available free on V.O.D. right before its released lmao

This movie could be good. People thought Rogue 1 was a good movie. And we all really know it wasn't. But it still made big money.

So Go Aquaman Go!

Well it is "Good" for some people.. but with the internet being what it is people like to give other people grief over what they like.

Maybe people will start really, really, REALLY lowering expectations for DC movies and will start enjoying them?

Maybe!

This is a visual of what might happen after the next inevitable DC reboot a few years from now, if the buzz Aquaman is generating from the trailers carries into the actual JLA/solo movies...

my expectations are very, very, very low for dceu films, so how much lower should i go???

Maybe a lateral move, to not watching movies as a critic.

Filming is underway.

According to the latest episode of Superhero News, James Wan's Aquaman will include The Trench — the angler fish-like deep-sea humanoids introduced in the character's first New 52 arc.

That is good news.
Lends itself to major creep factor, and Aquaman cutting lose against multiple opponents.

Be interesting to see how they look, and if they're willing to go as dark as they can with it.

Yeah, creep factor. Those first few Trench glimpses in the original story were great, and would translate well i think.

There's very little in that first arc that wouldn't translate well, imo.

The Trench = these guys?

Could be fun.
