Wonder Woman was damn near a carbon copy of The First Avenger. Yet people don't give TFA any credit. To me, Wonder Woman was a fine film, I would say it was even good. But it's definitely not a top tier Super Hero movie imo, especially with the awful third act. Also, the fact that they're bringing Steve back? His character died a heroic death (apparently not) and should have stayed dead. WW was definitely the best DC movie so far in this DCEU though, I'll give you that.

I think they need Steve/Pine back.

He did have good chemistry with Gal as Pr says. But I think Patty Jenkins also realises Gal will have a hard time carrying the film on her own.

I definitely disagree that she embodied the character the way Downey and Evans have. She is gorgeous as hell. But as an actress I think shes very replaceable. But perhaps thats just me.

For me WW was ok at best...

At best. That's being generous as f*ck.

Mediocre movie that actually put one chick to sleep at my theater.

Yup.

Took me 2 views to watch the whole movie the 2nd viewing was about 2-3 weeks later thats how much I couldnt care for it...

😆

That actually reminds me of how much I disliked Iron Man 3. Needed two views to see it whole, too.

WW in 1, but only because it wasn't bad enough to make me walk out of the cinema. Still lost interest in what was going on, though. Predictable with lame villains. Ares cannot be unseen.

Is it true they're going to soft-reboot DCEU with WW2?

Or just a rumour?

What makes it worse is that I streamed it cause most of the times I rather watch movies at home after getting disappointed in many comicbook movies lately.

After pausing the movie after roughly an hour it took me a few weeks to push that pause button again.

WW was great. The only part I didn't like was the cheesy part at the end, but it was well paced, and they should definitely bring back Pine.

If by the cheesy part you mean her realisation of Love trumping all, I actually think that was a great conclusion for the film to come to. And a much needed change of tone for the DCEU.

As for soft reboots, I expect that will happen in some form. But not sure which film they will start that with.

i woldn't be at all surprised if they're using the Wonder Woman sequel to reboot given that the Flash film continues to be developmental hell..

No, the very end scene where she flies off. Kinda cringe worthy. Other than that, I really enjoyed WW.

You didn't like seeing her flying? Or you mean the love thing that DT mentioned?

Film had plenty of cheesy scenes, tbh.

Oh, nvm.

It was just the way they did it. After she came flying towards you, they cut the the credits, iirc. It just screened cheese. I didn't mind the other scenes, though.

somebody needs to tell WB head honchos that just coz you like the film don't mean the audience will...

Can't say I agree with most of that, especially TFA comparisons. Though that's me.

Hi, fellow Irishman.

TFA is underrated tbh. And ive been guilty of underrating it myself in the past.

Id place BP above WW tbh. Better action, wayyy better villain, and better conclusion. Though Wonder Woman had the better origin story.

Villains. Plural.

Ludendorff, Poison and Shitres-Lupin can't hold a candle to Klaw and KM.

Klaue singing What is love >>>> any Wonder Woman moment

TFA is my favourite origin story of the MCU. It's criminally underrated.

I don't agree about action, though. BP might have had more of it, but there isn't an action scene in Black Panther as good as Wonder Woman going through no man's land. At least imo.

Villains wise? Klaw was wasted, as amusing as he started off as. That hurt it for me. Killmonger was excellent though. Really, really well-done villain.
