It doesn't resemble it THAT much, though. Which was my point. It takes elements from 2-3 different costumes that he's worn and shoves them together. It's not a terrible costume, mind you, but it's not a good copy of the original either.

They should have used the seahorse and played it straight. Make it his childhood pet, like with He-Man and battlecat. Make it powerful enough that when you slap some armour on it, bones get broken and ships get wrecked.

People were making fun of the poster and then some brought up that it wasn't even the worst superhero movie poster...rather that Spiderman Homecoming had the worst. I thought they were exaggerating.

Yeah, I was wrong.

The Aquaman suit does look better from that angle, and the boots do help to balance the green better.

It's not far off from my prediction I had said before. I said they gave Momoa Aquaman all the generic tough guy cliches to make him look cool.
Dark edgy costume check, edgy attitude check, tattoos all over check, etc
I had said "what's next they're going to have him riding a Harley-Davidson jet ski that shoots Flames from the exhaust?"

Pretty much all the costumes are great. Hopefully they look good on the big screen come Saturday. The green and orange suits Mamoa.
