He beat Qui Gon Jinn and Anoon. Bondara (two to the most skilled Jedi duelists in History), and with his saberstaff he can fight two v one and avoid them because he's agile.

I can't comment on how Kas'im will fare here or I'll get roasted 😄

Malak is implied to be better with the blade than Revan who knows all 7 saber forms. Kas'im is really good as well what with him creating thousands of new sequences and getting recognition from Darth Bane who read exaggerated texts of the Ancient Sith and thought Kas'im as their better.
