Galen Marek Feats: Preface
The Preface of my Galen Marek series will be covering the various quotes and scans for Galen Marek before Mission I ( I.E. his boarding of the TIE factory and subsequent fight with Rahm Kota ).
Haden Blackman, one of the games' developers of the Force Unleashed states that Galen Marek is a photo negative of Luke Skywalker and is what he would have become had Luke been trained and raised by Vader. He also calls Galen a top tier Force user.
"The Apprentice is the photo negative of Luke Skywalker. He's been raised by Darth Vader, and is what Luke would have become if he had joined his father. Vader's not a very nice daddy. This guy has been raised to be a Jedi. When the Jedi use the Force, they respect it and don't overuse it. The bad guys - the Sith - keep testing their limits. Vader discovered this person who had the potential to be the most powerful Force user ever. He's up there with the top tier. He's extremely powerful. Vader has trained him in such a way that he just kept pushing his limitations, seeing how far he could use the Force. So, where a normal Jedi might use the Force to trick his way past a few stormtroopers, the apprentice might use the Force to bring down an adjacent building on top of those stormtroopers. He's extremely confident in everything he does. He's been trained by Vader to be an assassin, an unstoppable force."
Galen was stated to have nearly perfected lightsaber combat and to have knowledge of many fearsome dark side abilities.
"Under Vader's relentless tutelage, the Apprentice all but perfected the fine art of lightsaber combat and learned to wield many fearsome dark side powers."
Note: This is supported by the Campaign Guide where it lists his mastery in multiple forms one of which is Juyo along with The Force Unleashed story itself where Galen demonstrated multiple advanced abilities such as mass telepathic control over specific individuals and beast control despite not having learned any new powers that he himself did not develop throughout TFU.
"Only high-level masters of multiple forms can achieve and control the ultimate discipline known as Form VII."
Galen Marek is described as a virtually unstoppable warrior and a highly skilled duelist by the Star Wars Databanks.
Galen is able to instantly assume a fighting stance.
"Instantly in a fighting crouch, the apprentice brought his own blade up to block the blow, teeth bared in a delighted snarl."
Galen matches PROXY's own physically enhanced strength.
"He and his adversary held the pose for a bare second, light-sabers locked across their chests."
Galen demonstrates his capabilities in Force leap by augmenting the strength and durability of his legs, allowing himself to launch himself high into the air. He is described as having "perfect agility."
"Sparks flew as the apprentice Force-leapt high into the air and landed with perfect agility on top of a stack of crates."
Galen demonstrates his capabilities as a telekinetic.
"He reached out with his cupped left hand and swept a metal tool kit across the hangar bay, toward his opponent's head."
Galen demonstrates Force augmentation by dishing out a flurry of blows that no ordinary man would have been capable of deflecting. He then goes to demonstrate his capabilities in Force sense by leaping backwards onto another stack of crates.
"Kenobi ducked and leapt up after him, deflecting a flurry of blows that would have left an ordinary man in pieces, then responding with a sweep of his own that sent the apprentice dodging backward, jumping from one stack to another in temporary retreat."
Galen and PROXY are likened to Gados a super-humanly acrobatic species.
"So the duel proceeded for almost a minute, with Kenobi and the apprentice dancing like acrobatic Gados from stack to stack, lightsabers spinning and clashing, racks and tools turned into temporary weapons as they hurled themselves from one to the other."

Galen demonstrates his capabilities in Force sense and precognition yet again.
"Twice he felt rather than saw the Jedi's blade sweep over his head."
At this point in time Galen's only fear is failing his master.
"The apprentice wasn't afraid of dying. His only fear was of failing his Master, and that fear he put to good use."
Yet another demonstration of Galen using the Force to increase his strength and resiliency.
"The dark side ruined through him, made him strong and resilient."
Galen feels more powerful then he has ever felt before.
"He felt more powerful than he ever had before."
Note: Galen by this point has lasted against Vader in a marathon duel that went on for hours before passing out. And as a teenager was already more powerful then most Jedi Knights from the Clone Wars era implying Vader was only holding back only insofar as to not kill his apprentice. His Force presence was also stronger then even that of a Jedi Master's when he was but a child and he was able to TK a lightsaber from Vader's grip despite Vader being combat ready.
"The first time they had dueled, in Starkiller's first life, Vader had displayed no anger at all-just determination, not to kill his apprentice, but to wear him into submission. The fight had raged across the training deck of the Executor for hours, with Starkiller never landing a SINGLE blow, no matter how he tried. He had gone from excitement at thinking that he had graduated to a new level of mastery to realizing just how much he had left to learn. More fuel had been added to the hatred he had felt for his Master and tormentor, along with a twisted kind of love for the man who made him stronger by showing him how weak he was. The fight had only stopped when Starkiller collapsed unconscious from exhaustion and was dragged by PROXY to his meditation chamber."
"Vader's apprentice was both strong in the Force and incredibly aggressive. As a teenager, the apprentice was already more powerful than many Jedi Knights had been during the Clone Wars, and it was only Darth Vader's incredible power and skill that allowed him to defeat the boy in combat."
“I sense someone far more powerful than you nearby. Your Master … Where is he?”
"Vader raised his blade to cut down the Jedi Knight, but before he could swing it the lightsaber suddenly flew from his hand. The Hark Lord wheeled around to attack, his free hand raised to crush whoever dared oppose him. He hesitated, an uncommon move for Darth Vader- -and the apprentice felt his mind spin with shock- -at the sight of a human child standing in the corner of the hut, dirty and bruised by the fall, dressed in clothes bearing Wookiee touches similar to those of the man still hanging in the air behind the Dark Lord. The boy held Darth Vader's lightsaber in both hands. The tip danced, but only slightly."
Galen is described as having superhuman agility and shows his capabilities with telekinesis by accelerating engine parts to missile speeds and buckling durasteel walls with gestures.
"The men leapt and tumbled with inhuman agility. When they gestured, metal walls buckled and engine parts flew like missiles."
Galen defeats PROXY after a minute long duel.
"Things became stranger still when the younger of the combatants, with a look of wild satisfaction, rammed his crimson lightsaber through the chest of his opponent. Defeated, the older man dropped to his knees, a look of shock spreading across his face."
We learn that PROXY only did as well against Galen as he did because he had the element of surprise on his side.
"You caught me by surprise, PROXY," the man said with an easy affection that belied his former ferocity. "I haven't fought that training program in years. I assumed you'd erased it."
Disables PROXY with lightning.
More to come in Galen Marek Feats: Mission I.
