In the grand scheme of things, nothing would really change.
Chaos theory. Even the smallest things can have effects on a big scale. If Qui-Gon doesn't die before Kenobi can join, then Kenobi doesn't get a rage amp, he might not end up in the shaft, and Maul would've won.

What would be the effects of that?

Even if Maul was still defeated, Kenobi wouldn't have trained Skywalker. Jinn would have. Everything would have been different. 👆
Im sure Anakin and Obi-Wan would still be really close, but that they wouldn't have the same relationship.
I mean getting Anakin was a two-man job.
so much would change, Obi Wan was fish out of padawan status; its clear that he's not up to the task of training Anakin like Qui Gon would have, he says as much in ep 6 to Luke.
With Anakin under proper tutelage, under a guy that likes to bend the rules while still firmly remaining a Jedi no less these a huge chance he isn't as susceptible to turning Sith as he was.
A case can be made that Dooku either doesn't turn or he's brought back by Qui Gon who certainly would have just as good if not a better connection with Dooku than even he and Yoda had.
Finally, even if everything had gone to plan in the PT for Sidious, there would be no Force Ghosts in the OT ad Qui Gon was the one who taught Yoda and Obi Wan how to do that.
