Why did Dooku leave the Jedi?

He left because he became jaded with the corrupt Republic, was deeply saddened by the death of Qui-Gon, and went looking for the second Sith because he originally though he was the chosen one

I've always felt bad for him because he left the jedi with good intentions. He wanted to avenge Qui Gon's death when the jedi didn't do jack. He recognized the corruption within the senate and jedi order; he just wanted to help people. He joined the sith with good intentions but was ultimately corrupted by it as all sith eventually do. A tragedy to say the least.

Dooku was a scum bag. Quit making excuses. He served the guys master who killed Qui. Dooku went to his death like a trick too.

Cause Qui-Gon died.
