Good cast. I've never read the book (always been a bigger fantasy guy myself) but I'm looking forward to it.

The awesome thing about RP1 is that it's a sci-fi that takes place inside a virtual fantasy Warcrafty kind of world.

I highly recommend the audiobook read by wil wheaton if you don't have time to read the book yourself. It's on iTunes for not too expensive.

I splooged when I saw the trailer. I've read the novel, and while this movie looks like it won't make as many deep cuts into 80s nostalgia, it perfectly captured the tone of the story.

Dizzy from GoW? Lara Croft. A-Team Van! Harley and Deathstroke? Duke Nukem. Atari Logo on that Akira bike? Halo AR shootin' Freddy Krueger. Leonardo next to Iron Giant? Not sure what else I missed, besides the obvious ones like Iron Giant.
