How would you handle this scenario?

I saw this on an episode of Doctor Who:

Your home city is about to be destroyed by a natural disaster, but the consequence is everyone else on the planet has to die.

The other choice is to let your home city be destroyed and save the world.

What would be choice?

My town kinda sucks so......

Move town

I live in Chicago so I think it would be hilarious if it ended up the only city left on Earth. Then maybe someone would try to do something about all the crime here.
