More Scenario Battles

1. Xanatos is led to believe that his old master Qui-Gon Jinn is on Korriban, investigating potential traces of the Sith. He goes to find and kill his former master, only to find that the trail was a ruse left behind by Darth Bandon to lure him out and kill him. The two Dark Jedi engage in a furious duel. Who emerges triumphant?

2. Lucien Draay is on a personal mission to purge the Jedi Order of "corrupt" Jedi. He finds Atris' polar academy on Telos IV by chance and finds out that she has been keeping and studying from dozens of Sith holocrons. He announces his intent to end her corrupt teachings. Atris attacks him, unwilling to let anyone stop her transformation into Darth Traya. Who prevails?

3. Darth Nihl & Darth Talon have been sent by Wyyrlok to escort a nearly-dead Krayt to XoXaan's temple on Korriban as a last-ditch attempt to see if he can be cured. There, Darth Sion & a dozen of his Sith Bladeborn ambush the trio. Nihl and Talon must keep Krayt alive for a minute until Wyyrlok arrives with a dozen Sith Troopers. If Sion and his assassins manage to land the death blow on Krayt, they win instantly.

Bonus: Nihl & Talon must defend Krayt for two minutes instead of one.

4. A Jedi diplomatic team consisting of Qui-Gon Jinn, Vrook Lamar & Leia Organa Solo arrive on Dantooine for peace talks with the Sith. Darth Baras (Threat of Peace), Darth Angral & Darth Karrid are the Sith representatives. Naturally, they use this as an attempt to assassinate the Jedi Masters. Who wins the fight?

5. DE Luke Skywalker has travelled to the ruins of the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine to study more about the history of the Jedi. Inside the cave, he sees the Darth Malgus, Darth Marr & Darth Mekhis waiting for him. They draw their lightsabers and fight. Who wins?

Bonus: The Ruined Enclave is now a dark side nexus with equivalent potency to Malachor V. Can Luke win, even with these odds?

1. Xanatos.

2. Draay.

3. Nihl and Talon succeed; they've blitzed Sith before.

4. Jedi win.

5. Mekhis and Marr are "meh" compared to someone supposedly greater than Yoda, who has withstood blasts more powerful than those of Exar Kun, and Malgus should fall quickly as well. Luke wins.

You don't think the nexus makes a difference for 5?

Why does Draay win in 2 and the Jedi win in 4, tbh?

1. Draay strikes me as more powerful, and the fact that he's already rivalling his father -- a noted Jedi warrior during the "prime of the Order" -- while a padawan means he's probably at least as skilled.

Although, I don't think he's quite as versatile or knowledgable, but he just seems like the superior combatant to me.

2. Karrid and Angral are weak links, tbh. None of them really impress me that much.

1. Why is he more powerful? What feats or accolades does he have that would lead you to this conclusion?

Kavar was a "noted Jedi warrior" in that time as well (and I'm inclined to rank him over Barrison Draay), and Atris was his better before studying teachings of combat from dozens of Sith holocrons. We've yet to factor in her Battle Precognition. I'm not seeing how Lucien can win based on accolades. He'll need feats, and I only recall him beating some Covenant Jedi in sparring and a faux duel with Zayne Carrick. Remind me if he has more, but that's not on par with Atris' performance against Brianna.

2. As a member of the Dark Council, I'd imagine that Karrid is one of the most elite Sith in the Empire, but I agree, from what I remember of her, she's a bit lackluster for her class.

That said, why would Angral not rival Qui-Gon or something along those lines? He was considered for the Dark Council, which makes him one of the most powerful Sith in the Empire, and he rather handily defeated Orgus Din, who was the Jedi Order's greatest anti-Sith veteran, IIRC. Not to mention his blatant superiority over his apprentices, including Praven, who slew one of the most skilled Jedi during the Sacking of Coruscant and likely would've improved in the dozen years to follow.

He threw Zayne from one side of the city to another, errected barriers that allowed him to survive lightning that killed groups of Jedi(twice), casually destroyed a large group of massive droids, and his implied superiority to his father(someone who, while a padawan, was capable of casually stopping the fall of a massive pillar just by pointing a fingure) strikes me as more powerful.

I see no reason to assume Kavar is better than Barrison. In fact, wasn't it Barrison who led Kavar and Vrook in a fight against the Sith? Doesn't mean much, but it might imply superiority.

And he has essentially handily besting Zayne prior to their little agreement, while conflicted/emotionally unbalanced, and he utterly humiliated all of the Covenant a good two decades pre-prime. That seems pretty skilled to me.

2. Angral bested Orgus through the Force. Their lightsaber duel was pretty even. And I'd say Jinn's superiority over Anoon Bondara, one of the most skilled Jedi in the Order's history, to the point of humbling him, or managing to both surprise and impress Maul -- one of the most well trained and well versed swordsmen in the mythos -- above Angral being better than Praven.

Again, I'll have to respond tomorrow. I'm out for tonight - it's almost midnight here.

Yea, when Krayt returned, they played a large roll in butchering him a path to Wyyrlok. A dozen is a lot, but they only have to play defense, and the only individual threat is Sion, and he's an endurance challenge anyway, they can definitely handle him (+ the dozen) til Wyyrlok shows up.

3. Nihl and Talon can protect Krayt for a minute, but not for two. I mean, they can survive a long time on their own, but it's harder to protect one stunned guy from 2+ lightsaber wielders when defending yourself against 2+ lightsaber wielders.

4. Qui-Gon > all of them, Vrook > Karrid, and Leia > all of them, Jedi win.

5. Malgus carries them into a good fight, but they lose 10/10. They have a microscopic shot in nexus (like they can win 1/100)

Agree with Wolf on pretty much everything. Sith team should take in the bonus round on 5.

Quite impressive. However, DS Brianna absorbs a likely sizable fraction of Freedon Nadd's power in the Tomb, and the dialogue files have Atris leveling her with a TK wave, hurling her across the chamber, or placing her in Stasis. I think Atris can contend.

Which comic was that in? Regardless, this takes place about 45 years prior to KotOR II, so I doubt it happened, and even if it did, we can easily use your oft-cited "pre-prime" argument.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't believe Zayne or any of those other Masters are particularly prestigious fighters.

I'm pretty sure Angral was driving him back the whole time and used the Force merely as a finisher.

And I'd say Jinn's superiority over Anoon Bondara, one of the most skilled Jedi in the Order's history, to the point of humbling him, or managing to both surprise and impress Maul -- one of the most well trained and well versed swordsmen in the mythos -- above Angral being better than Praven.

You're humbled when you lose, lol. At least, I'd expect any respectable Jedi Master like Anoon Bondara to be humble upon losing.

Praven beating Jedi with similar accolades pre-prime, and Angral's superiority over that, puts him on par with Jinn at least, IMO.
