Nah, tbh. Luke was comparable to Vader and now he's his superior, possibly considerably. Plus has physical augmentation to match the prime Emperor... Mace shouldn't win against that, IMHO.

Luke overwhelmed him even faster, later. This is of course not to mention that their duel took place on a potent Dark Side nexus. I'd say without said nexus, Luke could stack up fairly well against Palpy.

Actually, the point of Luke's fight with Byss was that he was kind of embracing the dark side already, IIRC, which is why he uses Lightning against Palpatine in the audio drama.

And Luke later overwhelmed him whilst under the influence of Force Harmony, yeah.
