Seeing the same movie more than once

I've read on many occasions about return trips to the theater to see the same movie. I have never done this. Even when I was young and there were no such things as the internet, Netflix, HBO, or VCR's for the most part, I never felt the need or want to go back and watch the same movie. No movie has had that big of an effect on me (even Star Wars) and lets face it, movie theaters cost money.

So how many of you guys go for repeated viewings?

I did it all the time back in the day, but that was in the day when you had to wait a year or more to see a movie again when it hit TV. Back in the day before Home Video. Will still do it now if I totally LOVE the Flick or if its just a big FX flcik that has so much crap in it you need to see it more then once just to catch everything.

Yeah, back when I was younger (90s) I'd go to the movies to see things repeatedly (Jurrassic Park, Terminator 2, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Independence Day). It's far more rare nowadays. The last film I saw twice in the theatre was probably The Dark Knight.

if it is something i like a whole lot i will see multiple times..

examples.. Star Wars A New Hope, 5 times in theater... Empire Strikes Back 7 times in theater.. Force Awakens 7 times in theater... First Iron Man 4 times, Both Avengers films 3 times each, Cap Winter Soldier and Civil War 6 times each.. The Dark Knight, 10 times... The Departed 3 times.. Terminator 2 4 times...

I legitimately don't think I've ever seen a movie in theaters more than once. I've never ran into one that was worth doing that for. I've watched a couple at home multiple times though.

I've got an unlimited card so I pay 16.40 a month and can go as often as I like so there's been quite a few I've seen more than once due to going with different people.

I did it all the time as s kid (in the 80s). I'll still do it occasionally.
