Movie that should've come from another decade

Have you ever seen a film that is so creatively similar to movies from a certain time period, that you feel that it came a little to late? Did the film borrow stylistic elements from a decade/time period intentionally, pay homage to the era, or just seemed like a film from that time unintentionally? What were the creative reasons for the nostalgia trip or why you think the film was reminiscent of the time period?

Brick. A finer example of film noir reminiscent of their heyday I've still to see from a modern movie. Also very underrated

The new Independence Day. Felt like the first one, i.e. a 90s movie.
