I don't think that Grail's words are meant to be taken literally. When actually explained, AM is stated to have simply absorbed the power of Earth 3 and this falls in line with what is shown in my opinion.

I say LB Galactus wins convincingly.

Again with your bullshit?

We were also told that it is in AM's fundamental nature to destroy universes -- that's what he does:

On top of that, DCnU AM = COIE AM -- they are literally the same being(confirmed by Metron.) So we know he indeed has the power to destroy/absorb universes.

But this goes right along with what I said about Grail not being taken literally. Grail says "You have consumed all the power you can from this universe" as we watch AM standing on a devastated and lifeless planet that is still intact and existing with no evidence of any other damage to the surrounding cosmos. The planet Quard is shown in it's perfectly normal state.
We see Metron stating that AM absorbs Earth 3's power in preparation. There is another scene where someone states while looking at images of the devastation of Earth 3 that AM absorbs the life forces of the inhabitants in preparation for Darkseid. No universes are shown destroyed.
Yes, we know that AM destroys universes and has done so in route to multiple past Crises. We see him doing so in COIE using an arduous process that involves the use of technology. There is evidence of classic Galactus being capable of doing the same.
IIRC, after each Crisis, the multiverse is reborn as well as AM, who remembers the previous Crises. In the New 52 reality, AM has seemingly destroyed no universes and reassures Metron that he has no intention of doing so.
So the idea that New 52 AM is packing the power of multiple universes is questionable IMO. There are two many contradictions to Grail's statement which I view as hyperbole.
I'm not aware of Grail saying that he destroys a universe. She says that he "consumes" one in preparation for Darkseid. I'm not aware of anyone else saying this, though it may have been mentioned somewhere else. But whatever he does to the universe of Earth 3, the universe apparently not destroyed.
There have been other references to him having destroyed, consumed, absorbed, etc. universes in past multiiversal iterations, just not in the New 52 IIRC.

Yep and the other person you are talking about that said that and showed the image was Ultraman.

Yeah, he consumed the energy of entire universes. Before AM and Darkseid fought, Darkseid also consumed universes.

As I recall, some are trying to tie something Darkseid is very loosely interpreted as doing in a Constantine arc to Darkseid War. I don't think that Darkseid is specifically portrayed as absorbing energy from universes within the Darkseid War storyline. But I may be wrong.
I don't see where AM is stated to be consuming the "energy of ENTIRE universes" to fight Darkseid. If that is the case, can a universe still survive and appear mostly normal after it's entire energy is absorbed? I think that it is most reasonable to say that he absorbs the energy of Earth 3 from that particular universe. That is what is most emphasized in the story IMO.
