Pressing Darth Revan in a "desperate battle" and combative ability in drain should net him some wins, yeah.
It describes their "final battle", and Malak fighting his "former master", which would mean the SF one. I'd have hoped that Malak, on such a potent DS nexus and the luxury of feeding off captive Jedi's life energies whilst Revan had to run through the Star Forge's armies, would be capable of giving Revan a hard fight.
I'm perplexed as to why the source seems to think that Revan did the jaw-cutting in that fight, though. But it's hardly the first time a source has been wrong on KotOR.

Because its referring to events after the fact. And while I agree "final battle" is something of an odd discrepancy, the source attributing the loss of Malak's jaw to their battle on the Star Forge is an even bigger and more unlikely one. It's obvious what the source was trying to say.
Not sure what you mean. There's another part of the very same section talking about Malak betraying his master, and now it's talking about him fighting his former master. Sounds strongly as if it's referring to the SF one, tbh.
There's also a picture between the Revan and Malak articles, depicting Revan fighting Malak on the Star Forge. Though it's Revan in his Sith Lord gear, which only adds to the confusion.
Right, that only reinforces my point, it's describing Malak within the contexts of Revan being his "former master", in which he reigned as the jawless kingpin.
And everything else aside the most prominent contexts here are the act of Malak losing his jaw, it's the central point of the sentence, remove that and the sentence becomes redundant.

Well, I'm interested in giving Malak the most he can get, so I'll give this to him.
That said, does giving Darth Revan a hard fight equate to being able to take some rounds over Bane?
