Movie characters vs their comic book counterparts...

Its almost a given that the movie version of any given character is significantly less powerful than their comic book counterpart...

My question for all of you here is this: which movie character comes the closest to matching the overall power level and combat effectiveness of their comic book counterpart?

Please provide scans and examples (if possible) to support your case...

Manhattan.
Spider-man.

These were pretty spot on (Amazing Spiderman, none of the others)

Basically all the original Fantastic 4 (except Sue who should have been waaay more powerful) were spot on too.

Most characters under herald level, are usually pretty close.

Xavier

can we talk about for a second how it's been like 10 movies and we haven't seen Tony use any specialty armors. Sure, he likely had them all in IM3, but we didn't see them used for their intended purpose.

we got hulkbuster, that's it.

Hawkeye

TBF, when Sue first got her powers in the comics she didn't have forcefields at all. She was always weak in the early days.

Yeah, Iron Man's armour development over the films has been rather mediocre. Other than Veronica, the only notable thing he's really incorporated, which he didn't have at the beginning, are his lasers, which he has fine tuned over the last few films. And his latest suit had a few smaller, redundant arc reactors added. But that's pretty much it. At this point, I'd say that Rhodey's armour has far more extra shit than Tony's.
