Worst of...

In your opinion, what was the worst movie of the summer??

That Kevin Spacey cat movie or so i've heard.

Mechanic: Resurrection is the worst movie I've seen in years. Absolute garbage

i make a habit of not wasting my money, and i I can usually tell what movies are gonna be trash, so i avoid seeing them in theater.

but yeah, i heard from almost everyone that this:

Didnt look like my kind of movie but i thought it was good.
I'll eventually try and watch it when it cycles down to HBO or Showtime.

I know, but nothing from this year can top that level of awfulness

lol! ah gotcha.

Ghostbusters, obviously.

Independence Day Resurgence, probably.

Ghostbusters is a good call, on Jaden's part.

Independence Day or X-Men probably, that I've seen anyway.

Maybe not the worst movie, but because I was looking forward to it so much I found Batman vs Superman the most disappointing. If I had gone to see it on the big screen I would have been very tempted to ask for my money back. A movie that's very bad can still sometimes be entertaining but making a movie so tedious that I can't wait for it to be over so I can watch something else is a greater sin imo.

However, since I don't really like going to theaters anymore there are still quite a few that I haven't seen this year, like Ghostbusters, and some that I actively avoid, like The Boss, Alice Through The Looking Glass or The Do-over.

BvS wasn't a summer release was it?

No March is technically spring, but it doesn't really matter they all get lumped together

Worst: Independence Day 2, TMNT 2, or The Purge: Election Day. Leaning to The Purge.

Most disappointing: X-men Apocalypse, Batman V Superman, or Suicide Squad. Had highest expectations for BvS so it was the biggest disappointment, but X-Men Apocalypse was essentially just as disappointing though I expected less. I expected Suicide Squad to be subpar but didn't realize it'd be as whack as it was.

Honorable mention: Jason Bourne. Not bad, but below expectations.
