It's in reference to his status as Dark Lord of the Sith, not to his status among Dark Lords of the Sith.

Well, it says "He was the Dark Lord of the Sith — the most powerful of the most powerful."
The italicized "the" could be interpreted as meaning that he's the definitive or supreme Dark Lord.

I meant to italicize the other "the", lol.

Whom are below Ragnos canonically.
Ragnos is the only ancient Sith, who is above Nadd.

I see no reason to assume anything of the sort without any marked emphasis, honestly.

The emphasis was on "He was the Dark Lord of the Sith", which suggests he was the dominant one. Or it could be emphasizing the stature of the Dark Lord of the Sith rank, but the former sounds more likely.

It actually means exactly what it says. Both in life and as a spirit.

Jedi slaughter, 10/10. Anybody from the Jedi kills anybody from the Sith except Shaak Ti... maybe Obi-Wan vs. Freedon Nadd. Anakin, Mace and Jaina kill most Ancients in seconds :/ 10/10 for Jedi.
