Think about it though: if God exists..is this any God we should want to know? Want the approval of? Let us for a second forget all the horrible stuff from the bible or in fact any religious text.
Look at our world. Really LOOK at it. Does it really appear to be governed by any supernatural being that cares for us? Forget all the shit humans have done to each other. What the f*ck is up with hurricanes? Tornadoes? Tsunami's? Why do these exist? Oh I can certainly tell you that scientific conditions can lead to a tornado to form, but if some intelligent being loves us WHY is it acting like it's playing the f*cking Sims and dropping natural disasters on us? When it could prevent them..if it's all powerful?
You simply can't wave that off with "dude works in mysterious ways" and stuff like that. Why does aids exist? Cancer? VD? That flesh eating virus? What purpose do they serve in ANY kind of universe..save for a universe that isn't governed by any special supernatural hand?
Of course the alternative is there is a God and he is unabashedly evil and that is why we have tornadoes and aids and all that.
