Hindered or Nah?

So we've seen a Force move accomplished with telekinesis a few times in the mythos. It's where a Force user will anchor themselves to a surface and be able to retain their balance.

We've seen this with Kanan when he holds onto an airborne fighter, with Windu on a speeding maglev and with Kenobi on a ship he's telekinetically manipulating.

In LoE it notes that Mace expending power to anchor himself "hinders" him though not as much as Grievous.

We can assume Obi Wan was expending a similar amount of power when anchoring himself and telekinetically manipulating the ship.

To what extent do you think a move like this hinders a Force user? It was obviously important enough to be noted in the LoE novel. Does this make Obi Wan's ship feat more impressive in your eyes? If so, to what degree?

I think it does hinder them to a fair degree. It obviously doesn't consume a ton of energy, but enough that doing anything else gets more difficult.

What ship feat are you referring to?

Jaden did this as well :3

The one with the tree.

*Vaguely waves hand*

Anybody got the scan?

By virtue of magnitude, it should be negligible. By virtue of control and finesse I can see it being considered as a significant burden.

Lemme guess, you want to use to wank Starkiller.

Doesn't hinder them remotely in terms of Force depletion.

It hindered Mace's mobility only iirc. So:
