We know parts of OCW happen in between AOTC and TCW, such as Anakin's duel with Ventress and him becoming a Jedi Knight.

But he was fighting on Par with Ventress roughly 6 months after AOTC.
Inconsistencies are inconsistencies I guess.

We know that both were constantly growing the difference being Anakin had formal training for far longer. Only 6 months before the end of the war Ventress was indeed the superior duelist.
