As for holding back those engines, I see no examples of ships ever accelerating at that rate at low altitudes. They almost always use them when they're higher up, presumably to not kill themselves.
And that still isn't as impressive as, say, padawan Anakin's dreadnaught feat.
I'm skeptical about Dooku. He didn't show such magnitude of power before and we don't know how much the nexus affected him. It'd be cool to clarify with the author how nexus affected him.
The engines have the capacity to accelerate at dozens or hundreds of G's. The novel states that they were whining, suggesting they were at full power. How many G's a ship can sustain is debatable, Saturn V, for example, accelerated at 10G's at the launch pad. That's why I said Malgus feat is potentially superior to Vader's cathedral.
Anakin's dreadnaught feat is, too, potentially superior to his Vader's incarnation, even if due to scientific ignorance(depends on it's speed and weight) from the authors (the same argument I used to say that Malgus stalling a ship that can accelarate with such magnitude may be a result of scientific ignorance by Kemp, the same can be extended by Dooku throwing a cruiser)
I compared Vader's cathedral with Malgus' ship because they are the two, most direct telekinetic comparisons that can be made.
Despite being much less documented than either Tyranus or Vader, Malgus feats and accolades support his place among them.
