Lucas never once called Vader weak. Not once. In fact Filoni's protection of Vader comes from Lucas.
Filoni's protection of Vader pertains to a number of cases, the first is his image, the sense of dread for our defiant thespians when faced with the Empire's primera Judge, Jury and executioner. But why is Vader such an imminent threat? Sam Witwer answered it perfectly, he's living in an Era where all the best Jedi have been buried and what he has left is fodder. You can show me clips of Vader stomping Ezra all day long and it won't change the fact that he's a handicapped shell of his former self 🙂 On the other hand, Lucas referred to Vader as a half crippled robot man comparing him negatively to folks like Qui Gon Jinn and TPM Kenobi in a sense that they could fight better than him. I see no reason to believe why that isn't the case.
Vader did defeat Ben, in case you didn't notice.
Wrong you are Thor, Vader couldn't break Ben's guard till the latter voluntarily yielded, he also admitted that the slightest moment of distraction would end up with his head parted from his body. In fact, it's even implied that Obi Wan could have beaten him.
And you've yet to prove Ben's weakened. He's certainly not completely out of practice going by the new canon.
Various sources have confirmed that Ben isn't even close to his ATOC self in terms of combat, and it's vaguely implied that the mission to ascend past the physical realm stifled his control over it with the Force. It is true, he is more more powerful than ever in death but it's a shame none of that relates to combat against a Dark Lord with a lightsaber. He does well because Vader is also vastly weakened by the robotic implants restricting his movements and dulling his use of the Force.
In fact chances are he will face Maul pretty soon.
And we will have two bottles of expired milk fighting each other.
No one cares about Ressurection. It was a part of Legends (possibly non-canon even to Legends) and was made before Episodes 2, 3 and TCW. It's simply not relevant to anything anymore.
It was created in the fashion and with the intent that all Legends material are conceived with, as an addition that mirrors the realm of George Lucas' vision. They wanted to present to us how a fight between Maul and Vader would ensue, and as it turns out Vader gets battered worse than TPM Kenobi, and much like TPM Kenobi, he only manages to scrape a narrow win.
He has plenty of better feats than beating the Dark Woman and you know it. Beating Starkiller
Getting defeated by Starkiller/Galen Marek isn't impressive when the latter hasn't even mastered lightsaber combat and gets slapped about by Shaak Ti, Maris Brood and random Shadow Gaurds. At least the Dark Woman has a bit of empty renown to her name. What exactly has Ashoka done to compare?
He's also taken down a frigging AT-AT with TK Alone.
So he's now K'krukh level with Force powers?
