And with that statement you just proved the crux of the article right.

And most Americans think government officials are corrupt pieces of shit.

These d-bags think they know better than most, but they don't.

But damn, Hilary said only Trump supporters were deplorables., Sounds like these a-holes think EVERYONE falls into that category.

Also wait I love this part from the article:

"A lot of this elitism is probably justifiable. When only 36 percent of adults can name the three branches of government, you wouldn’t want to hand over control of FDA to, say, your next-door neighbor."

And there you have it. Our education system is dog shit, utter dog shit. Now we know why they don't care enough to do anything about it: so they can still spout off this asinine excuse.

Plus Obama thinks there is a rape culture and Hilary Clinton thinks there is a wage gap and THESE are the kinds of people that know better? I know teenage girls that know there isn't a rape culture in America, but somehow the politicians are too stupid to figure this out?

This is a rare find.

But...but...the average American voter IS ignorant when it comes to politics and political science, in general. Until you make current politics, history, and political science part of a test that licenses voters to vote, you'll always have HUGE swathes of ignorant voters at the voting booths. Many politicians COUNT on those voters to get elected. They even participate in that "ignorance machine" to make voters less informed and/or misinformed.

This is not a secret even among ignorant voters. Hell, half the people I talk to about politics readily admit to not knowing much about current politics. They don't hide it.

It is one of those things we have known about democracies (and all forms of it) for thousands of years.

Generally speaking, people ignorant of politics dont vote and "informed" voters watch the news.

That's just not true. Those ignorant of politics make up a majority of voters.

Generally, speaking, people ignorant of politics vote.

That site has all 23 questions listed, too. Take a look, take the quiz honestly, let me know how you did.

Edit - I got 8 of them wrong. Or that means I got 15 out of 23 correct.

I just don't think that stupid people should be entrusted with decisions on the national stage.

What about people too stupid to know email protocol? They shouldn't be entrusted with stuff, right?

I'm pretty sure Clinton knew exactly what she was doing, lol. But I was talking about intelligence, not integrity.

Okay so she knew exactly what she is doing and yet you still don't think she is a piece of shit. Since the FBI claimed the b*tch was too stupid and ignorant to know, that it wasn't on purpose.

So you think it was?

I mean, yeah. I don't subscribe to the idea that breaking the law is intrinsically evil. I would need to see evidence that her actions either deliberately or negligently led to really bad outcomes.

Okay, am I speaking a different language? I never mentioned evil. I mentioned being a piece of shit.

If someone is going to act as smug as you like to act, get the shit right, okie dokie?

Lol you call me smug, but you're the one playing games with semantics. How does that address my point at all?

Dude, you are about as smug as they get. At least people like Rob don't come off that way, but you? Certainly do. It's cool bro, I'm not hating on you. Especially since you aren't from this country and I'm guessing you're from Europe where smugness was invented.

Even Adam doesn't have your smugness. It's okay bro, I'm a dick too. We're practically family.

Lol well I'll smugly give my European argument over here on the east coast and wait for you to humbly avoid it again.

It's okay, one douche to another I salute you.
