Darth Tenebrous vs Novel Vitiate

*Tenebrous gets 10 minutes prep*
1. Force
2. Sabers
3. All-out

Can Tenebrous use complex mathematics to get the drop on Vitiate?

Tenebrous wins sabers because, you know

Vitiate stomps all else

Not sure. Leaning Vitiate.
Tenebrous.
Not sure.

How does Vitiate circumvent red lightning that leaves residual electrical bolts?

If one subscribes to the notion that Plagueis > SWTOR Vitiate, then Tenebrous wouldn't be particularly far off novel Vitiate in the Force, if at all.

Obviously Rugess creams him in sabers.

I still haven't seen a quality reason to take novel blurbs/publisher summaries as gospel.

Nothing is ever "gospel", bar the films themselves. But it's something nevertheless.

Novel Vitiate isn't very good.

I mean, the Publisher's Summary needed to be LucasArts approved and, unless something in our out of universe contradicts it(besides the "feats only" mindset) there's no reason to assume it's wrong.

I pretty much take most sourcebook statements gospel, yeah. Like, if a Star Wars encyclopedia says Maul is more powerful than Dooku, or something along those lines, then I'm inclined to believe it until contradicted.

Then you don't have to take these blurbs as gospel for them to serve as the tipping point. It's not as though the notion is preposterous that Plagueis, one generation removed from Sidious himself, can't be stronger than Vitiate when he unbalances the Force by meditating.

So are the Insiders vs series, and that one book that has Vader beating Yoda, and Plo > Talzin.

Sorry if I'm a bit skeptical by something that is strictly there to grab attention, and sell books.
