I think the only thing that really contradicts the notion that Obi-Wan by AotC isn't > Qui-Gon is Dooku's own statements.

When he said he expected more from Qui-Gon's padawan, or something like that? Yeah that doesn't mean Qui-Gon > AotC Kenobi, besides it's obviously Dun Möch.

That's Dun Moch, and it doesn't mean Qui-Gon > Obi-Wan.

DMB tells me that it was Dooku's internal monologue, and not taunting, so how could it be Dun Möch?

Because the AotC comic doesn't have Dooku musing anything about Qui-Gon > Obi-Wan. He says to Obi-Wan's face that he expected more from Qui-Gon's padawan.

And as Zoltan said, it got retconned out of the comic anyway.

Edit: Nevermind, but it does look like Dooku's own internal musings rather than Dun Möch.

It's Dooku taunting him. How is that not Dun Moch?

We know Dooku was taunting Obi-Wan in that fight. Obviously everything he said there was to try and get under Obi-Wan's skin.

If Dooku was speaking to Kenobi, those "taunts" would've been in speech bubbles. I'm saying that those comments could likely have been an internal monologue rather than a taunt to rattle Kenobi.
