He hasn't been impressive for awhile. Lest of all menacing

Yeah after Bendis got through with him Thanos was never quite the same. Every time he touches the character he loses a little more shine. Hope that doesnt cross over into the movies.

Redskull or the Joker. Both are among the most feared villains in their respective universes even though they have no real "powers" to speak of and aren't true super brains like Lex or Doom. They get by on sheer ruthlessness, moxy, and melodrama.

Not really, Redskull's proven a national/worldwide threat via his organizations multiple times(and building/leading an organization like that IS an accomplishment) even without the cosmic cube(which he's gotten even more than Thanos I believe) and... Emperor Joker. These guys bring a more stern/grim attitude from the two gutsiest heroes around than anyone else in their universes... that really says something about them.

Also, RS would rip Castle a new one head to head 😠 .
