Not until he rose in the polls, you think they would have let her get away with saying she hoped Obama died? It was a 5 minute story on Chris Matthews.

Remember now, Obama said "Hillary will say anything, and change nothing."

Thats true, she did want him killed and started the birther movement, but I distinctively remember Goldman Sachs pooling money into Obama while he made cool soundbites. Hillary looked too "established" the irony being Obama was funded to be established posing as an outsider.

Oh look, another echoing chamber between TI and his sock.
Im not his sock. Sorry this isnt a place where "intelligent people" discuss why Bernie should have won the race and why Trump is an idiot who had no chance of winning anything. Because thats an echochamber.

Look at all the threads he's made to whine about Hillary winning, his desperation is palpable and delicious.
Remind me again what an echo chamber is. I forgot what it looks like.

They dont understand why Bernie lost tho. They think it was all fair play from the DNC.

I think his importance for future generations was primarily as counterpoint to a 1000 years of Abrahamic religious craziness that practically ruined human history. And I count Christianity as the main offender here.

Opinion discarded.

Your opinion it should be discarded has been noted.

It's certainly more valuable then some rambling retard on Youtube.

Since when is your opinion and a one liner more valuable then a youtube video? Oh I forgot you are muslim, my bad.

Also Sam Harris is quite the furthest thing from some random youtube ranter.

Anyone who called that a rant is idiot.

I think his assertion that people may be better off in their traditions as bigotry is slightly confusing to me. I understand his point, but familiarity is good for most people.

Yeah that is weird, he's not even a youtuber really. That isn't something he specifically posted. The guy gives talks. He's a well known scientist and atheist, plus an author.

I thought id heard of Sam Harris before. Richard Dawkins makes similar points. Often about how he loves Shakespeare and Chopin but cant think of rich culture on that level from other cultures, nor can he think of scientists on the levels of Newton and Darwin from the middle east or africa.

Fernand Braudel: For four or five centuries, Islam was the most brilliant civilization in the Old World. (...) At its higher level the golden age of Muslim civilization was both an immense scientific success and a exceptional revival of ancient philosophy. These was not its only triumphs; literature was another: but they eclipse the rest. First, science: it was there that the Saracens (...) made the most original contributions. These, in brief, were nothing less than trigonometry and algebra (with its significantly Arab name). (...) Equally distinguished were Islam's mathematical geographers, its astronomical observatories and instruments (...). The Muslims also deserve high marks for optics, for chemistry (...) and for pharmacy. More than half the remedies and healing aids used by the West came from Islam (...). Muslim medical skill was incontestable. (...) In the field of philosophy, what took place was rediscovery - a return, essentially of the peripatetic philosophy. The scope of this rediscovery, however, was not limited to copying and handling on, valuable as that undoubtely was. It also involved continuing, elucidating and creating.

I'll take the opinion of one of the most well-renowned historians of the 20th century over some literally who fedora-tipping /pol/tard.

Lol is that supposed to be satire? Sam Harris is a well respected scientist.

I never said he was 100% right, but the way you're trying to dismiss anything he says is strange.

Yes, well respected by fedora-tippers everywhere.

Sam Harris: If I could wave a magic wand and get rid of either rape or religion, I would not hesitate to get rid of religion.

Truly, this is an archetype of the modern philosopher.

And you are somehow better then him at anything? Explain what you are so good at in real life, what do you have?
