Clinton Withholding Evidence from Congress and FBI

This thread and this email is a good example of why these email leaks aren't gaining the traction that Trump supporters would like.

You make a thread saying "Clinton withholding evidence..." You make it sound like a sure thing, like the email will say "We will withhold evidence". Then you open the email itself and it shows they are asking a question about if they should hold emails to and from the president based on exec privilege and make them go through that. Shady? Sure. But there's no smoking gun here. And that's the case with pretty much all of these emails.

Trump supporters are basically creating a boy who cried wolf scenario here. They reference all these emails as if they're immediately damning. Everything is cited as a bombshell or devastating. Then you look at the email itself and there's nothing there. This is actually hurting your own cause, because if the point comes in the next few weeks where there actually IS something extremely damaging to her, many people will just not listen to you because you've been exaggerating the extent of the power of all of the previous emails, which for the most part just make her seem like a pretty run of the mill politician.

"Think we should hold emails to and from potus? That's the heart of his exec privilege. We could get them to ask for that. They may not care, but I seems like they will."

Yes. It's exactly as I said. They are asking a question, there is no claim here. For all we know the answer to this email was "No".

And even so, holding an email based on executive privilege isn't entirely unreasonable in this case and make them go through more channels to get them. Which is what "We could get them to ask for that" kind of implies.

I'm not saying this isn't shady and murky, but it's no smoking gun.

John Podesta>Cheryl Mills Authority.

So? That doesn't change the fact that the email held a question and not a statement. He was asking for her opinion. We are essentially seeing one segment of a potential conversation. Without knowing the answer to that question and presumably the rest of the conversation this particular email doesn't matter very much unless you already loathe Clinton.

Ill find the response if I can.

Um they didn't just ask a question, they did the deed, dude.

I'm just saying the fact they even asked that question is enough for me.

Conspiracy to commit the crime is enough, you are right.
