MOS Superman's strength is pretty ridiculous, as of the Batman V Superman movie.
However, he hasn't seen the level of strength in an opponent that 8th Gate Gai operates with. He was able to completely vaporize half of Jyuubidara's body, and break his bones with just his punches. Jyuubidara was literally able to tank continent busting attacks prior to this, without so much as a scratch. Just the air from the shock waves of Gai's punches launched him more than a mile into the Earth's crust.
This is a fight that I see Gai taking, but only after he goes 8th gate, and even then, Superman should be able to survive until Gai uses Night Moth.

He doesn't need that level of combat speed though. He can simply fly around and hit them while moving at super speed, like he did with Zod, Nam'Ek, and Faora. Not to mention that his durability is well above the striking power of either Gai or Lee, until Gai hits the 8th gate.
Meaning that this is a fight in which Gai loses his life, and still doesn't take the win easily.

I'm not sure you have read a lot of Superman comics.
Superman flying speed which he uses to charge people is often an opener and a way for him to engage his opponents but rarely an ender of the fights.
Moreover Superman struggle to touch people far slower in combat than the two ninjas he is facing here...
Well, he can't even touch Shadowdragon when he has engaged him in a hand-to-hand distance as the street-leveler dances around him and unfortunately for Superman's supporters that's the case in every comics since 75 years.

Have you failed to realize that this is Man of Steel Superman? As in, the DC movie universe version?
Not to mention that the average comic book Superman would have no difficulty dispatching even 8th gate Gai, whatsoever.
For the purpose of the thread, Gai wins with 8th gate, but Golden age, Silver age, All-star, Superman Prime, New 52, and altogether the majority of Superman incarnations, would absolutely shit on Gai. In fact, they'd on average be strong enough to tank every of the strongest attacks in Naruto at once, before proceeding to vaporize the planet with heat vision.

There is no differences between the Man of Steel Superman and the one from the comic books contrary to what most people believe.

Superman can't deal with slow bricks and get wrecked in every comic books by characters whom can't hold a candle to Gai or Rock Lee on a daily basis.

1. You've obviously never read a Superman comic.
2. Superman in most versions operates on planetary+ levels.
3. PC Superman literally flew across the universe in one second, and destroyed a solar system with a sneeze.
He literally pulled every planet in a galaxy, on a chain, into a new galaxy to save them all. This was when he was still just Superboy, btw.
He tanked the equivalent of 50 supernova's with little difficulty, in a much weaker version than PC.
He's also increased his reaction and movement speed to levels similar to those of the Flash, aka, lightspeed+
4. Yeah, don't go spouting off like I haven't read the comics, when you don't know the first thing about ANY versions of Superman. You literally compared PC Superman to MOS Superman. That is like one of the dumbest things I've seen on this website, from posters other than dvampire or cdtm. 👇
