Proof That the SWTOR Protagonists Aren't Equally Powerful Combatants

As the Sith Emperor’s personal executioner, the grimly fatalistic Lord Scourge has personally killed more than a hundred Jedi–and ten times as many Sith. Even the most powerful members of the Dark Council avoid offending the man bearing the title “the Emperor’s Wrath.”
– Star Wars: The Old Republic Codex: Lord Scourge (Knight)

This disparity might be mitigated by the fact that the Hero of Tython fought (for the most part) on dark side nexuses for endgame, Chapter 3, and group content fights.

Then there's the (perceived) power gap between the Barsen'thor and Darth Nox, although you should keep in mind that the Barsen'thor was hindered in the Force 'til the end of Chapter 1.

That quote proves nothing.

It proves that the Hero of Tython's feats were > those of the Emperor's Wrath and the Barsen'thor (at the time).

What? How does the quote prove that? The Dark Council members not wanting to cross Vitiate's right hand man doesn't necessarily mean Scourge > all Dark Councillors, lol.

The Wrath's best feat was double-teaming Darth Vengean (with the help of Lord Draahg), while the Barsen'thor's was beating Blaesus.

You realize the quote listed doesn't apply to any of the protagonists, right?

Nope, the Barsen'thor's best feat was defeating Vivicar while severely weakened. Draahg was almost useless in that fight. And I have no reason to believe that any of this makes HoT > the other protags.

He's saying that the quote means beating Scourge > any of the other protag's feats up till that point.

The fact of the matter is that the Wrath needed help (or was instructed to accept it) to defeat a Dark Council member, whereas the Hero of Tython defeated someone closer to Marr's tier with less (if any) help.

You say that as if we really know how powerful Vengean is. He could also be, "closer to Marr tier" for all we know. And yeah, the Hero presumably had Kira at his side.

And the Wrath (equally presumably) had Jaesa.

Closer to Marr than himself? Logic phail there.

That was just meant to be a modest way of saying "Lord Scourge is more than capable of slaughtering run-of-the-mill Dark Council members (like Vengean)."

We don't know if Vengean is a run of the mill Dark Council member or not, lol. Given that he was Baras' master, and seemingly implied to be more powerful than him at the time, I'd say he's more than a run of the mill DCM.

This quote is in reference to Lord Scourge, not The Wrath II.

He knows.

You could also say the same for the Scourge fight 😬

Or any canonical fights in the HoT's story.

Not that it matters, given that it's equally true in regards to the second Wrath.

That quote is irrelevant.
