Ported to DC Universe

...this is tough. I'd be willing to put in the time training with the GL Ring, but I'm not on real life Earth, I'm on DC Earth. I might be a target or some cataclysmic shit might happen in the hours after I get it.

Well, the ring is somewhat sentient though.

You could have it teach you how to use it, set it to do certain things once certain requirements are met/certain scenarios occur.

Granted the bands seem much more powerful in the hands of the average user.

Ring doesn't work for anyone it doesn't choose, which pretty much makes it useless.

quantum bands allow space-time manipulation? massively ftl travel? matter manipulation? i dont remember him doing any of that in the 80s series....

^ Rings haven't done most of that stuff since pre-Zero Hour, though there hasn't been an explicit retcon.

I would say the GL ring...until I remember Ollie basically giving himself a hernia making one arrow construct and them saying it hurts like that every time.

the op doesnt specify post or pre anything. just a lantern ring. and im sure i can find some of that stuff post zero hour. the question was have the quantum bands done any of those things? we know they dont do any of that stuff because geoff johns.i know the guy that wrote the 80s quasar series hated ftl travel and had him warp everywhere but has there been downright space-time manipulation?

The gem. if you know how to use it you can do basically anything.

But you don't know how to use it though. The only thing you'll probably get out of it is invulnerability in strength.

What about supposed immortality that Juggernaut suppose to have?

massively ftl travel? Yes
matter manipulation? No. But you can manipulate all forms of energy within the EM Field.

I kind of figured this would also apply to the GL ring.

Mjolnir has it over the Cytorrak gem in almost every way.
Recall when Black Tom got even half of the gem's power, he couldn't fit his clothes anymore and had ladies running from him.
Also, having invulnerability without flight has meant many, MANY hours of Jug being trapped somewhere trying to dig or climb his way out of imprisonment. With periods of time and frustration so great it almost broke him mentally.
And finally there's the element of beng in the thrall of a known demon. The last might actually be the case for a Mjolnir-wielder, of course, but at least they don't know that for sure.

I like that last part. Reminds me of the Army, from both sides of the equation. 👆
