Im british and i wish we added butter to things more often. Tip for you guys, after youve browned your steak on both sides (a minute each way on high for an inch thick steak) stick a knob of butter on the steak and cook it a minute on each side again. Itll give you a medium rare to medium steak with caramelised sides. Also, burn the fatty side. Thats my cooking tip.
On another note, is anyone here british, and if so, are they concerned about pubs becoming franchises?
