i agree, it's tough to take herc in this. but you're right he def has some real experience with animals, most notably the nemean lion and of course one of his oldest foes, cerberus:
but again, the speed issue is tough in a forum setting to overcome.... maybe this isn't quite as lopsided as i initially thought, but it's still tough to make a solid case for herc. krypto has a solid advantage here.

Oh, carver only uses that argument when it suits him. In others, if he doesn't have the scan to support his case, then he's all for using logic and extrapolation to make his case.

As long as it is consistent. I don't have scans, say, of Batman pooping; does that mean he doesn't, even though all the evidence points to him being a normal human who does?
Krypto is fast enough to outspeed Kid Flash and Superboy. No amount of nitpicking by carver changes that.
He has fought and done pretty well against a magical super brick in Atlas, WHILST being hit by Kryptonite rays. It only made him more rabidly angry.
He has HV, which is powerful enough to make a noticeable difference when added to Superman's (that is to say, it is no small thing).
He has hurt SBP in broad daylight, when he was casually punching people's heads off (Ie not holding back; not that he does).
On the other hand, Herc has been hurt by relatively much weaker teeth. Been defeated by a berserk Wolverine (a much weaker, slower feral fighter).
Not to mention, in character, Krypto gives it his all in fights. Sometimes, too much. Whereas Herc isn't snapping animal necks mid fight.
For these reasons, and others, I give it to Krypto.

Nope that never happened. He blasted the Imperiex-Probe and it took notice of Krypto only because it was building one of those hollowers in Antartica. Krypto was going to die in a matter of seconds if Superman didn't arrive. Still it showed how brave he is, I don't think anyone doubts that tho.

Yea i peeped that. I kinda feel like Krypto should be a serious threat. His should be faster than supes among other natural gifts a dog would have over a humanoid
