DP was indeed one of the best comic-to-film Marvel adaptations. You don't even have to like the character to accept this.

With regards to the MCU keeping him as is, that's really the beauty of Deadpool. Because of his nature, self-awareness and 4th wall breaking, he is the one character that you could literally just stick into the MCU without any real explanation (just have him make some onscreen quip about continuity or franchises or whatever) and proceed forward. He's already made MCU-related jokes in the first film (like during the post-credit scene).

So this will just be Buena Vista Vr 2.0
