If Mace legitimately went toe-to-toe with Sidious, then I don't think Vader being above him is justified.

Otherwise, your ranking is probably right.

If the RotS novel isn't canon, then I don't think there's a source for his amp. Whether or not Sidious played the fight is indeed up for discussion, though. And I am in favor of that, so I guess Mace's showing there doesn't really put him above the names you mentioned.

If so, however, what exactly puts Mace above the next few names? Reaching an impasse with Talzin and briefly clashing blades with Maul is hardly above Anakin and Dooku.

Talzin is likely up there as well.

Doesn't he have a canon accolade of being the best battlefield warrior in the Order? Or something like that.

If that refers to/includes RotS, then it's excellent.

IIRC, a quote(s) also states that Yoda's better, though.
