Failing to sustain her Illusions and getting injured by non-Force sensitives because "sterile places" didn't sustain her magicks or something of the sort.
Although if Zardossa Stix is considered neutral ground, then she dueled Mace and contended with him strength-wise. And teleported.
Neutral ground is a ridiculous notion with Talzin, seeing as the environment largely determines how much power she can wield. As Nova said, she was capable of some pretty impressive shit on Zardossa Stix, a planet that seemed relatively devoid of life (likely due to the fact there was machinery there which was designed to siphon life energy), but on a lifeless station like the one she faced Palpatine on, she could perform similar feats but for almost no length of time.
Really, "neutral ground" doesn't exist. There's places where she'd win and places she'd likely lose. I guess if it truly is "neutral ground", they take an even split.
She wins on Dathomir though.

Neutral ground would be a moderately verdant planet like earth or something, if the amount of life is important. No nexus, no advantage either way in terms of terrain or stuff to draw upon.
But a planet like that isn't neutral, because it sustains her full power enough to win.
Neutrality isn't average. In a Dooku vs Mace fight, for example, Neutral is an area with some rocks and a few strategic advantages, to not make Force an easy win for Dooku and to make Sokan useful but not a game changer.
Here there is no neutral, because it's always a game changer.

If she's good enough to win on anything more than Tatooine or Hoth then she deserves to win. Her winning isn't contradictory with neutrality.
Yes, but as I was saying the amount of life isn't a factor among many, it's the only factor, so a neutral planet is impossible.
I doubt she'd win on those planets, for the record.
