REVAN THE RETURNED (DarthAnt66) vs DARTH TENEBROUS (BenibinLaden)

The guy was honestly probably just trying to cover his ass with that answer.

It is his opinion lol, he's not an authority on Canon.

Can you ****ing think?

He's saying HE wrote it with the intent of it being Canon.

Thus, using it as Legends is WRONG and not what it was intended to be.

Furthermore, Fact Files is a CANON publication.

Even Sasukedc backed down and agreed. I recommend you follow suit.

And he says the material was already written before the Disney takeover.

Where?

Because they were working on fact file 39 when Disney took over, it's in your own discussion.

That doesn't mean they didn't edit and change the content following the takeover. There's no evidence the quote was in there prior to the takeover.

On the contrary, he specifically states the quote is just based on the Canonverse, so it's definitely not in there prior to the takeover.

😂

So they slapped in a "Darth Bane is the most powerful quote" but didn't think to align the rest with Canon developments? Right, no, he's clearly just describing what the content of the article would mean on the (false) basis that it is now Canon.

Regardless, it's pointless to speculate in that front. Fact is the contexts of the article are Legends, therefore the entire article should be considered to refer to Legends continuity.

You are honestly the most stupid person I've ever met.

Yes, that's exactly what happened. He states that here:
Darth Bane is an interesting case in point. We don’t know officially how much of his former background is still canon. We can only go by what’s been said so far in the new material and, at the time we went to print, Bane was as I wrote – the most powerful of the old Sith Lords.

Regardless, it's pointless to speculate in that front. Fact is the contexts of the article are Legends, therefore the entire article should be considered to refer to Legends continuity.

No, it technically means all the facts in the article are now Canon.

Don't see what's the problem here. If the author who wrote it says canon only, then it's just that.
Besides, it aligns with what is universally accepted on hers anyway --- Bane doesn't hold a candle to the likes of Vitiate, kek.

See my edit lol. And I wonder how that's possible when the facts in the article contradict Canon.

Beni is trolling.

I might be. The article is still Legends tho. 🙂

What...? No he's not...

I don't know how could you have possibly reached that conclusion.

He directly stated, "We can only go by what’s been said so far in the new material and, at the time we went to print, Bane was as I wrote – the most powerful of the old Sith Lords."

Which means he wrote Darth Bane as the most powerful of the old Sith Lords since he was that in the new material.

Beni is trolling.

Probably, but recognize Beni is so stupid the two generally blend together, so it's impossible to tell.

That would also mean that The Darth Bane trilogy is canon, which the author denied so there's the conflict.

Obviously there's a conflict. The author messed up.

That being said, he states the specific quote we're discussing is suppose to be Canon.

So let's move on. You're wrong. I'm right. 👆

tenebrous still oneshots just like what happened with vitiate

The conflict goes both ways Ant...

There's no conflict with the quote. He stated it's referring to Canon.

It's referring to Canon.

What's messy is the background information surrounding it.

Which situates the article, unfortunately for you, in Legends yeah.

You know I thought the same thing when you endorsed Donald Trump. 🙂

No, it doesn't. The author wrote the entire article intending for it to be Canon.

Now, are you ready to start this debate, or are you going to continue grasping to a failed point?
