I honestly think it varies. Training, strength, endurance...i dont think u can make a blanket statement and say men are stronger.

The average man is stronger than the average women though. So when it comes down to training, most women won't cut it.

Sexist! If Sin I Am wants to fight in a war, she should, goddamnit!

Another problem i have with this, is we know for a fact that out of the 100% of Women in the Military, less than 1% can pass the male standard PFT. Yet were allowing these women in combat arms?

Here's an example, we just got back from NTC, and we found out we had a PT test 3 days later. I max my PU and Sit up, and i got a 1545 on my run. That's after a month of not working out. Where as the Ladies in the S shops could barely do 45 PU and SU, and there run were in the 17's.

Am not saying PT is all you need to survive Overseas, but when shit hit the fan, you need to be able to carry you're own weight, and you might need to carry you're battle buddy. I weight 200, 250 and up with full battle rattle on. Do anyone actually believe that a woman that can barely do 45 push up can drag me from the battle field?

There may be a very small percentage of women who will be able to pass, but that's small. I honestly don't see women going FMJ style training and passing with ease, especially in a draft situation. There will be a lot of crying. Shit, girls cry when they see slugs or spiders ffs. It's a horrible idea. It's not true, but I'm glad some people would be happy with such an idea. 😂

Ntc so you're in the Army? I didnt known that. Hooah high speed. Thx for your service. Imo the apft is not a good gauge of physical fitness. Especially combat pt. It takes alot more endurance than running on the hardball with shorts and sneakers to gear someone up for war.

Also The key word u use is s shops. Those arent "combat" mos's. So they arent expected to train nearly as hard as a grunt or cannon cocker. In my experience the best prep for war is actual prep for war. Boots and utes runs..field training, ruck marches etc. As far as pulling a fat ass out of the fire when bullets fly down range youd be surprised how much strength u get during and adrenaline rush.

That's a common misconception. Unless you're ib a sf unit, combat arms or a marine. There is very little to no "FULL METAL JACKET" type training. It's non existent. The larger forces arent built like that. Thats wht they have specialized jobs. That way a soldier, sailor, airman or Marine can focus on the job at hand. It gives the theatre command more leg room and ability to support a large scale long term engagement. The average joe aint doing a hundred pushups in 2 minutes.

But there are marines, right? To ambush, right?

I understand that, i was just giving a general example. Don't get me wrong, i don't care if a women wants too be in a combat MOS. What i do care about is me and my fellow brothers being force to bend over backwards to accommodate there needs.

Another example, i was trying out for the Sniper section in my unit. Since it was opened for anyone to tryout , this E5 sergeant who happens to be female was automatically given a spot even after she fail to report to the 12 Miles Ruck March. Her excuse was she had her period.

After the 12 miles, the next day we got smoked some more for a slot, she still didn't show up, and she had the nerve to still ask for a spot.

In the end, i see female being in combat arms more as a liability. For instance, in NTC, we spend 2 wks without shower, just baby wipes and deodorant. Yet the females had portable showers to use. That is not fair, and that falls under special favors. If it was the other way around, people would be crying foul left and right.

I really doubt women will be able to handle marine type combat. I seriously doubt drafting women for the marines is a good idea. Your point of different sections is valid, but it kind of destroys the equality argument if women in the most dangerous masculine field is so alien to us

You didnt say shit? I chock that up to shitty leadership. Whoever your platoon sgt was for selection must suck ass or know her personally. Even if weak nco courses like wlc if you're late you're out. Dropped the first day and sent back to your unit.

A ruck march isnt physical. It's mental. It's seeing that hummvee rolling behind you and knowing you could get in and chill if u quit. Ive seem males and females fail and suceed at it despite size, weight. A fat kid who barely makes tape could out ruck a fit 13 minute apfter as long as he put his head down and kept moving.

I spent a month without showering in oif 1. So it can be done. The army just has lax, weak ass standards.

Wait what? Yes, yes you can make the blanket statement men are generally stronger. Especially untrained men vs untrained women. Yeah, there's a physical superiority there.

This doesn't make any sense. I dont believe you know what youre talking about.

Will women be able to fare well in using this or defending against this? I'd imagine not. And I'd also imagine if campers were sexing then their guards would be down.
