The idea that this is a hit-piece to hurt Clinton right before the election isn't far fetched. The FBI knew about Weiner's email for weeks now, but release it now; coupled with a somewhat vague harming statement. Then we have Donald someone guessing this back in August of last year.

It's a hit-piece, imo. Clinton win or lose, in a few weeks to months she'll be cleared again. But the damage is already done.
