Not sure about that anymore. That was mainly due to holistic intent, but if we ignore that it's tough to see how Vitiate was superior given the nexus.

I mean, I guess if Bane has sufficient willpower and a lightsaber he could win. Accoridng to Scourge's visions, an injured Revan, a weakened Exile, and Scourge himself - all one-shottable by Vitiate - had a 50/50 chance against him. And that was with a nexus.

Vitiate may be the most pathetic combatant in the history of Star Wars fiction relative to his power in the Force. I'd say Coleman Trebor has been surpassed.
