Airing on BBC America; it's the American version of a British series that I've never seen which was based on books I've never read.

it's ridiculous in the best way possible.

I think he was kinda psychic, but I also think the character himself tried to attribute this to just getting lucky.

They should have named him Richard though. Dick Gently.

He didn't in the books. But I am getting the impression the books have very little to do with the show.
